Women’s Equality Day commemorates the passage of the 19th amendment to the U.S. Constitution, granting the right to vote to some women. The amendment was first introduced in 1878. In 1971, the U.S. Congress designated August 26 as Women’s Equality Day.

Yet in 2022, women have fewer rights than they've had in decades. This year, we're acknowledging Women's Inequality Day, uniting to demand that lawmakers restore and protect our rights by:

    -  Passing voting rights legislation;
   -  Adding the Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution; and 
    -  Restoring reproductive rights to women and those who can become pregnant.
