About this event

Recent redistricting has significantly reshaped Congressional District 16. This New 2026 16th Congressional District affects approximately 48,000 Sarasota County voters who were previously in CD 17.  The new District 16 includes Sarasota County areas east of I-75, extending into parts of Sarasota, Venice and North Port. 

Voters who are affected by the new map will receive an updated voter information card in the mail prior to the start of the August 18 Primary Election period.  Voters with questions about the new congressional map may call the Sarasota Supervisor of Elections office at 941.861.8619.

The candidates participating in this forum will answer questions developed by the League of Women Voters of Manatee County,  along with questions submitted at least one week before the forum.  Please submit questions for consideration to info@lwvmanatee.org and indicate to which forum it is directed.
