Our Constitutional Crisis: Immigration - State and Local Impacts
About this event
IMMIGRATION : STATE AND LOCAL IMPACTS
“When we allow injustice to happen to “them,” we are writing the blueprint for it to happen to us.”
Celina Stewart LWV US CEO
How do the current administration's immigration enforcement policies undermine our constitutional rights? What is the LWV position on immigration? What is the history of immigration policy in the United States.
Our speaker, Jaime Delgado, will examine the threats we face regarding due process and freedom from cruel and unusual punishment. Mr. Delgado will also share his insights on the impact of Florida laws and State immigration policies on our community.
