”OMG, The Loser Won!” Why We Need a National Popular Vote!

The National Popular Vote law will guarantee the presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes nationwide. With it, every vote for president will count and every vote will count equally. Until the National Popular Vote goes into effect, only Swing States will matter in presidential elections. And the number of Swing States is dwindling. In 2024, there will be only five Swing States. And despite candidates winning by an average of five million votes nationwide, fewer than 60,000 votes spread across several states have determined the presidential winner in four of the last six elections. Our presenter, Daniel Lishansky. is the District Chair of the Palm Beach County Chapter, and Steering Committee Member of Floridians for National Popular Vote, a non-partisan organization partnered with the League of Women Voters. He meets regularly with elected officials and local groups to get National Popular Vote passed.
