Is This Sustainable?

About this event

Sarasota County Government defines sustainability as satisfying our present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs.  Over the last four years, Sarasota citizens have ranked "population growth/new development" as their #1 concern.  Survey

As we watch Manatee county roll back wetland protection, as the oceans warm, and sea levels rise,  as hurricanes increase in strength, and as southwest Florida’s population continues to increase by 1% a year, are we doing enough to preserve our natural resources for future generations?

Join the League of Women Voters of Sarasota County as we host a panel with expertise in water quality management, estuary preservation and natural resource sustainability. Our expert panelists will be Michael D'Imperio, Nancy GallinaroSara Kane and Amber White.

You can also livestream this event on our Facebook page.
