Planned Parenthood of Sarasota will describe their services and challenges. Nan Morgan, Senior Director (pictured above) and Paola Ferst, Community Liaison, will talk about the education Planned Parenthood provides, and provide a short interactive activity that she uses with teens to provide education on healthy relationships and consent.

Nan Morgan currently serves as Senior Director of Education at Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida. She oversees outreach educators who partner with schools and other organizations to provide education and awareness of issues involving sexuality, sexual health, and reproductive healthcare reaching people of all ages from six to one-hundred and six! The organization’s education department serves 22 counties in Florida from Naples to Tampa to Orlando. Nan’s team reached nearly 18,000 young people last year with topics that ranged from Healthy Relationships, Safer Sex, Consent and Boundaries, STDs, and Birth Control.

Paola Ferst, MS, CHES, is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), who earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Florida in Health Education and Health Behavior.
