Understanding School Choice: Florida’s Public Education System

Wed., March 1, (5:30-6:30pm)

Understanding School Choice:
Florida’s Public Education System

Florida’s public education structure includes three parallel and very unequal systems: charter schools, private schools and district schools. Growing parent choice voucher programs will hugely and negatively impact funding of our district public schools.
Join us to better understand this current structure, how we arrived at this point, what’s on the horizon and what we can do about it. We’ll discuss the history and purpose of public education, details of school choice and vouchers, Constitutional questions and current legislation. Don’t miss it!!

Open to everyone (members & non-members).
No cost/fee.
