About this event
Presenter:
Nan Morgan, Senior Director of Education, Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida
The Reproductive Health and Justice Action Team (LWVofSarasota) invites you to join representatives of our partner, Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida, to learn about its important and unique mission to provide affordable access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care and accurate health information through patient care, education and advocacy.
With 10 health centers and a telehealth virtual health center, PPSWCF provides vital sexual and reproductive health services, as well as comprehensive sexuality education, to women, men and teens in 22 counties throughout southwest and central Florida. Serving nearly 38,000 patients ranging from teen-agers to seniors, Planned Parenthood employs a commonsense approach to health and well-being based on respect for each individual's right to make informed, independent decisions about health, sex, and family planning.
Reproductive Health & Justice is one of the League’s legislative priorities for 2022, and the presentation will include an update on proposed and likely legislative action in Tallahassee during the current session for those members and friends interested in advocacy in this area.
