Gun Safety and Domestic Violence

About this event

Guns and Domestic Violence are a Deadly Combination!
According to the Violence Policy Center's 2022 annual study, the presence of a firearm can turn domestic violence into domestic homicide. When men murder women, the most common weapon used is a gun. Nearly 90 percent of women murdered by men are killed by someone they know.
Please join us to hear what is being done at the local, grassroots level to protect us and our children. This panel discussion features Carol Rescigno from  Brady, a gun violence prevention group,  Ginger McCallum from Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, Rhonda Calahan from Queens Against Domestic Violence and local law enforcement.
